What is the D6 Conference

In just two short words the D6 Conference is about Family Ministry. When you take a look at Scripture, it’s impossible to separate discipleship from Family Ministry. As commanded in Deuteronomy 6 (D6), it is God’s “plan A” that the family becomes the center of spiritual formation (a.k.a. discipleship). The D6 Conference helps churches develop and sustain an integrated discipleship strategy that combines the relationship and influence of the church and the home.

You might even be asking, “This seems like such a common sense biblical strategy, why the need for a conference?” Over the last several decades church discipleship programs have reached an all time high in standard of excellence in programming. We have seen more kids and students come through church doors than we could have ever imagined. But what are the results? Conservative studies show that anywhere from 45 - 75% of the students in our youth groups are not attending church within 5 years after high school graduation, and many of them will never return.

D6 is a Bible based discipleship strategy leveraging the very best of church and home to help develop life-long Christ followers who disciple others in their communities and around the world.

LOCAL CHURCH LEADERS and PASTORS: We also assemble a large group of local church leaders who lead with a family ministry discipleship strategy rooted in Deuteronomy 6:4-9.
